Business glossary

The merged PDTF business glossary — the curated dictionary of business terms plus the controlled vocabulary harvested from schema annotations. It is the seed of the SKOS taxonomy and, in turn, the OWL ontology.

This page is the pre-ontology SKOS seed: 54 business terms + 500 schema-derived concepts, harvested from the PDTF v3 schemas and the OPDA Glossary spreadsheets. The Concept tier of the Ontology manual is the generator-emitted authoritative reference: 41 entities defined in business language with Identity Criterion, organised into seven modules. The two are complementary registers for different audiences.

54 curated business terms — merged from the two OPDA Glossary.xlsx sources (Trust Framework PoC + Technical Working Group), deduplicated.
698 schema entities — deduplicated object / class concepts harvested from the PDTF v3 schemas, with labels in singular form.
Total: 752 concepts (down from a pre-dedup count of 1,024).

Where this is heading

Editorial pass with the Technical Working Group — reconcile the 54 OPDA terms (open-banking-flavoured) with the 500 schema concepts (property-flavoured) so the glossary reads as one coherent vocabulary.
Promote to SKOS taxonomy — group concepts under broader categories (Transaction · Property · Participant · Claim · Document · Form · Search) with skos:broader / skos:narrower. See the Concept taxonomy page (stub).
Then OWL classes — promote the top-level branches into ontology classes with W3C-VC alignment. See Ontology (OWL).
